“ The staff was much more attentive, kind, and social with us than any other place we dined in London. There were 7 of us and we all got different dishes and we loved them all. The chef sent out a special appetizer, which was amazing. Our dining experience had been mediocre. This one topped off our last night in London. We all agreed it was the best Italian restaurant we had been to, maybe even the best restaurant. It was so good. ”
“ Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful dinner at this restaurant, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It is one of the best places I’ve ever had the chance to eat at. The service was phenomenal, and the chef came out to greet us, offering recommendations and answering our questions. We were there as a group of 7 women, and each of us was delighted. I especially loved the slow-cooked beef dish, which practically melted in my mouth; it was so tender and delicate. The pizza was also amazing, as were the appetizers. I must return during my next visit to London. ”
“ Felt like we were guests in someone’s home. Delicious, authentic Italian food and experience. We shared lots of laughs with the servers. If you are considering eating here, I say go for it! I will definitely be back on my next trip to London. ”
“ Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere! 100% recommended. Also, the portions are quite generous, something that is not easily found in London. ”
“ We are visiting from the US and wanted to try something in Holland Park, near our place that was not a pub. We found this great pizzeria about 100 yards from the Notting Hill station. The food is the best from our trip. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it. The service is fantastic. All the employees make you feel like the family, especially Luigi (I believe he is the owner). We ended up eating here 3 times over our week long trip. ”
“ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Portebello, and from the moment I stepped in, I could feel that this place truly encapsulates the essence of Italy. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the authentic sound of Italian being spoken by the staff, creating an genuine Italian dining experience. For starters, I had the carote alla scapece which was a dish the owners mother had served him when he was young, and wow it was outstanding, i also had the Arancini al Tartufo Nero, and it was absolutely delightful. As a main course, I enjoyed the Pacchiri Con Ragu’ di Vitello, which was simply divine. The chefs at Portebello really know their craft, and you can taste the passion and skill in every bite. The service was exceptional as well—everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. I had an absolutely wonderful time, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Without a doubt, Portebello will be my go-to place for an authentic Italian meal. Gracie! ”
“ The food here was luxurious and rich, but we still had room for dessert! I would call this a hidden gem for sure. The servers were lovely, and really good quality seafood. I would recommend the oysters and the boscaiola pizza! Will definitely be coming back here for sure. ”
“ We went I and my sister in Notting Hill to visit , then accidentally saw the restaurant, we checked the reviews and we was happy with what we read and saw. The restaurant was actually full, just few tables free, we did asked for a table, the staff was very nice and friendly, smiling to everyone and helping in time. We served pizza and starter, it was a very good pizza that I ate after long time in London. The restaurant is clean and a very good atmosphere. I really recommend you if you want to try it. ”
